Yay, that explains the growing. We have an issue with our user's ntuser.dat file growing exceedingly large, with some up to about 25mb. I have a remote user that has a ntuser.dat file that is almost 3g and i remember about 2yrs ago it was also around this size and i copied it to another.
We are running windows xp and limit our profile size for users at 20mb. Ntuser.dat files hold the user registry hive settings and some other stuff for each particular user. Does anyone know a way the reduce the size of this.
It looks like hp printer stuff is mostly what is filling that. Dat and associated files in the profile. We are getting that changed.

One way to check this is to run regedt32 and select the hkcu hive, select the root, then file|save key. This is of course making my c drive almost. Deleting this file will remove all of that, and for the most part corrupt that user.
